I'm wondering if it would be possible to restore, in CDMM Pro 5, the "topic form" ability present in v4.5 ie the ability to make the lines between a topic and subtopic have thickness, be a tapered straight or curved link. This preserves a traditional "mindmap" look rather than just have a straight line, which is rather too subdued in its default implementation.

in order to make the line curved for example, you can use Format dialog:
select a topic -> right button click on it -> Format Topics.
To change the color or thickness of lines:
select topic -> right button click on it -> Format -> Line & Fill
