Hello,
I submitted this request via email before I realized there was a forum.  I really like your Project software.  However, I wish it had better print setting/controls.  

I think the following print options (perhaps in the "Print Setup" dialog?)would really make your product stand out:

Print Gantt Chart
Print Task List
Page Break Before Gantt Chart
Print Task Number (on each page)
Print Task Description (on each page)

The first two options would allow you to select what prints out when you click the print button.  If both were checked, it would print just like the current system.

The page break option would force a new page before starting the gantt chart.  Currently the gantt chart begins immediately after the task list.  This sometimes results with just a "sliver" of the gantt chart printing on the page with the last column of the task list.  If option is not checked, it would print like the current system.

Without the bottom two options, working with the printout is a bit awkward...trying to line up the gantt chart with the page that has the task info.  If the option is not checked, it would print like the current system.

p.s. - I may be using my terms differently.  When I refer to "Print Gantt Chart" I mean the actual timeline (with the horizontal bars).  By "Task List", I'm referring to the left side of the window - where you can customize the columns.

Actually you can print the Task List.
It is called Print Columns only in menu:File\Page Setup\Page

The other parts were included into our to-do list :)

We would also like to know what other users think of such annovations.

I have not used the print function by now, but to have a selectable printing mechanism has its appeal. It will round up the reporting functions!

Yes, that is exactly what I was looking for with "Print Task List". Great, only 3 more to go! :icon_biggrin:

I too would like to see the ability to print the Gantt chart out as i find this a very useful visual aid.

An ability to have tasks separated into weeks or months so you can see at a quick glance on a print out what your tasks are for the current week etc... similar to the existing report that you can print to HTML, but with a break out in.

Thank you very much for sharing your opinion!

You have the ability to print out the Gannt chart if not selecting Print Columns  in :File\Page Setup\Page.
If you want to print the Gannt chart with the names of the tasks only, you can use Column Customisation in View.

As to other printing options, they all are planned to be included in the next version.

It would be nice to not only print the Gannt chart, but also export it as an image. The image could then be imported into other applications like a MS Word document. Thanks!
