Full Version: Stretching CD Project to the limits

Hi there,

I'm in the middle of a testcase right now. I've promoted this product as a way of keeping track of multiple projects and also with a proper way of keeping track of resources. Hopefully I will keep up with my statement, otherwise I will have to find another way to accomplish this.

I've entered about 39 projects all assigned with a projectleader and resources assigned to them. Also I have assigned 10 Release schedules to it which can be considered to be also something like projects.

The following I'm looking for:
- Grouping Resources within the resource sheets, so I can have assignments based on departments or specialities (Oracle, Progress, AIX, Linux etc.). Makes the structure of the overview better too
- Sorting Resources when I'm assigning resources to tasks with the inspector. The inspector is convenient to use in a way, but the sorting option is missing. At least I couldn't get it to work
- Please definitely look at the user interface; there are some quircks which keep me from working fluently. User experience is not as optimal as it could be...
- ColorCoding Projects within the Resource overview. I would love to see different colors if people are spending time on several projects 'simultaniously'; with different colors it would be visible immediately to me...

Also I'm hoping that everything is included within your new CD office app... definitely I'm looking forward in giving that one a try

I'm sure I'll find more as soon as my collegue-people provide me with their planning details... Until then I can only enter my own planning details. If I get all the details, I'm convinced that I'm able to stretch the app to its limits...

Please, of course any suggestions are welcome...

With Kind Regards
Franc
