(sorry, I already posted this to "support", maybe the wrong category?)

Hi,
this is a great software and I woukld really like to use it in my daily work as a project manager in internet development. Especially the look of the timetables is great.
Unfortunately there is one K.O. criteria:
To make our customers understand the gantt charts, our practice is to put the task names next to the gantt bars (like it is done with resources in your software), and milestones are labelled with name and date. This makes it much easier to read the timetable, especially for gantt-newbies.
Here is an example (done with MS Project):

I would switch to conceptdraw immediately, if this visualization comes up as a feature, are there plans to make the labelling of bars as customizable like in MS Project?
Is there maybe a trick to do it with the current release already?

Kind regards,
Wendelin

No, this is not possible with the current release... but since I use project in project structure a lot, I ask for a possibility to add visible text to gantt bars. I ask for it as soon as ConceptDraw Project 4.0 was released. And the last I've heard is: "Great idea! We will add it to the to do list."

I think, we have to be patient for 5.x :-)
Unfortunatly I have to agree to wendelix. This feature is also a KO for me. :(

felix
Did this feature (displaying task names next to bars in Gantt format) make it into the new release?

Thanks

no, it did not... I have to say - and I miss it too.
