Greetings,
I am about 20 days into my free trail download of MindMap (v5.2.2.1), and I have been noticing some problems with the clipart graphics on my machine (a G4 Apple PowerBook running 10.4.11). Many of the images appear to have "holes" in them, as though their highlight areas were being interpreted as being transparent. Also, I have used some of the graphics in test documents, saved them, and when I open the projects back into the program, the colors of the graphics are completely wiped out, being replaced with a very pastel blue.
Anyone encounter similar problems or have any suggestions? I love the feel of the program, but I would like to be able to use the graphics.
Thanks, John

I experienced the save thing with v5.1 on my G4 MacMini running 10.4.10. I upgraded to v5.2 and to leopard in one go, so I could not tell what does the trick... I thought it was v5.2, now I know it was leopard that fixed the bug in my case.
Does it look like this in your document:

... and like this when you reopen it:

I haven't heard an explanation for the isolated phenomenon - I think it is isolated, since none of the Intel Macs experienced something similar.
Maybe is has to do with the quickview implementation for leopard, but this is only an assumption based on no facts!
Anna, did your technicians find a reason for this strange behaviour?
Hi Gerhard,
Thank you for your response. That is pretty much exactly like what I am seeing. In the image below, the loaded graphics are on the right, and on the left is what the clipart inspector palette looks like (see how parts of the graphics are missing). I guess this is a good incentive for me to upgrade to Leopard! I'd been holding off to give it time to stabilize.

no doubt about it: it is the same problem I had when started with version 5.x!

:-) But since I feverish looked forward to spaces and time machine (I could not live without, since I have it =8-)=) ), there was no way to avoid the update as soon as it was available!
Be aware of the known weaknesses: disable all system enhancer you run before updating!
And ones you run leopard: keep your hands of the child safety function, please!
And after all: be prepared for a brand new mac experience...
... and have fun with ConceptDraw MindMap for the rest of the trail period
Hi John,
I just found an old document out of that time and added the same clipart again... saved the document and reopened it:
So ones the damage to the clipart is done, it is permanent. But new added clipart will be okay!
Have a nice day!

I will send the file to your E-Mail account Anna Lutshishina <support@conceptdraw.com>. Maybe you can analyse it better. But never the less, I send you this file ones in august 2007...

I'm hoping that it's not a case of Tiger vs. Leopard, because I'm just not ready to make the leap to leopard. (Leap'n Leopards!) For one thing, I'm right in the middle of a huge project (not a good time to switch operating systems), and for another thing I have spoken with some people who do what I do (motion graphics for broadcast) and use the same tools as I do, and they have been having a horrendous time with Leopard. Some have had to devolve their systems back to Tiger.
Just to provide an update. I had tried downloading the very latest version of MindMap, and it had the same problems with the clipart. I just got an e-mail today from CS Odessa talking of the fact that there was a brand new version (v5.4.0.0), I downloaded and installed it, and it still has the same problem. So I'm guessing it is just something related to running it under Tiger as opposed to Leopard? I've still heard nothing but horror stories about Leopard, so I'm just not ready to go there yet (I'm running 10.4.11). So I guess MindMap is a no-go for me...
Thanks for your help anyway, Gerhard.

I would lie, if I sad: leopard is running smoothly on my mac... but I like to use the new features :-)
Thanks for the update!
