Hello. I just bought version 7.4 and this program has an extremely slow response time. I am using a non-Intel Mac PowerBook with OS X 10.4.10 and 2 GB of SDRAM. I have tried it as the only program open but to no avail.

For instance, I will go to create a text box, click the mouse and drag to the shape I want, then 4-10 seconds later it will appear. Then, if I want a word, I'll type it, then watch 10 seconds later for the letters to appear one-by-one.

Then, it'll crash! I do not know the problem. Every other program I use runs like a dream and only has Firefox crashed maybe 3 times since I bought this machine three years ago.

Please help me any way you can! Thanks.

Hi look i'm having as similar problem, same symptoms. I'm on a mbp 2.0ghz intel duo, with 1gb ram running leopard. with no other apps open it drags like a dog with no legs.

admittedly the file i'm working with is a 13 page software screen prototype, that is 3.8mb in size, but still I've handled larger and more complex psd files with no issues.

is there something I need to do to resolve this? is it a known issue?

fix would be great cause the software is good.

I've replied to another post about editing text, but both myself and my coworker are have the same issue. It seems fairly quick at the beginning, but as our process maps grow (past about 10 objects) there is a delay with any action (typing, connecting lines, ...).

Please help.

I just got an email from CS Odessa saying that this problem should be resolved shortly in an upcoming CD 7.5 release.

Yeah, I got the same one, direct from the lovely juliak. looking forward to it with muchos anticipation.

I've upgraded to 7.5 and once you have 10 - 15 objects the response time slows to a crawl (on a macbook pro running OS X 10.5). Please help!
