Has anyone experienced performance problems with the Mac 5.05 version?
I was working on a mindmap with only about 75 simple nodes and the performance dropped significantly. Writing notes showed the biggest problem. When typing, I was able to get seconds (15-20+) ahead of the program. The program also used 100% of the cpu. The hardware is a new 2.4GHz Mac Book Pro with 4GB of memory.
Restarting the application appears to restore performance for a few entries, but then it collapsed again.
I have tried the same map on a second machine, a Mac Pro (3.0GHz with 4GB RAM) and still experience the extreme slowness.
I have tried creating another map with just 38 nodes and the performance really begins to degrade. Taking a note for a node is a real trial of patience. The map is attached.
Bottom line, the software is unusable at its current performance level.
Is CS Odessa working on improving the performance? When can we expect an improved version?
