after inserting a new sub-topic, if i have the sub-topic highlighted... i can start typing and it will fill the box with what i want. that works great --- unless my first character is a quote (the character: " ).

if i enter that (") then my whole screen shifts to anouther part of my mind map. i have to first type in my sentence and then go back and add the quotes for it to work. :(

anyone else see this on a PC? Mind Map version 5.0.4.0.

I know, I don't qualify and this will not help your problem, but this will not happen with the mac version!

If I'm not mistaken, this will be gone in no time.

I've tried what you suggested and nothing happens, everything works fine.
Try version 5.0.5 that was released some days ago.
