I have a map with many branches, but they all overlap at the moment. Although there are so many of them I will be printing directly on A2. Unfortunately, they're all condensed towards the origin of the map.
Many free mindmap packages that I have used previously automatically arrange the map to avoid any overlap. Of course this could be done manually in MINDMAP but would be a waste of time. Have I missed an in-built feature of the software to do this or is it a glaring omission?
To arrange the topics in your Mind Map you can use automatic arranging.
The Arrange tool

offers you several convenient ways of arrangement:
Radial: the topics radiate in all directions from the central image
Right: all the topics are placed to the right of the central image
Left: the topics are placed to the left of the central image
Top: the topics are directed to the top the central image
Bottom: the central image is above, and the topics go to the bottom
Just select the suitable way from the drop-down box and the topics will be rearranged.
The option of map arranging is also available from the menu
Tools ->Arrange Map.
In the Professional version of ConceptDraw MINDMAP that supports multi-paged documents, you can transform a topic with all its sub-topics into a separate Mind Map that will be built on a new page of the document. Just select the needed topic and apply the Send to New Page command from the context menu.
I'm wondering about this, as well as how to sort. When I click on the 'arrange' icon, nothing happens. When I click on Sort after a brainstorming session, again nothing happens. Please let me know what I'm doing wrong. Thanks
