Currently, it seems that CD Project defaults the duration in days (d). For smaller time framed tasks, it would be more useful to have this default in hours (h). Better yet, have a default duration setting in the options that when changed from days to hours, it auto converted the durations in the project (or provide a button to do this).
Also, changing the duration manually is buggy. For example, if you put ".2 h" (no leading zero), it will convert it to "1.0 d". There were a few other nuances in manually adjusting the duration time that caused frustration. It's simple things like this that make MS Project seem better than CD Project.
