Firstly, apologies for posting this message in support section as well as this forum but seeing as there are outstanding questions on this topic I wasn't sure where it was best to go.
Could you please supply some form of document walking me through reverse engineering a database. There are several outstanding issues on forums regarding ODBC connectivity and running so called database connection wizard.
I am assuming I don't need to create my own scripts to do this.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi colinbes,
For win:
1) You need to set DSN to the database:
Start-> Control Panel-> Administrative Tools-> data Sources (ODBC):
Add DSN to the database
2) Launch CocneptDraw V:
Template Gallery-> ERD & Database-> Database Model Diagram->
Machine Data Source-> Choose your DSN
For mac:
Step 1: Applications/Utilities/ODBC Administrator
Select user DSN-> Add-> choose your driver -> ok -> set DSN-> Select user DSN-> ok
Step 2: Open ConceptDraw-> ERD & Database category-> Database Model Diagram template -> Choose the appropriate
driver to the database-> Choose your DSN

After adding driver and DSN when I go to templates->ERD & Database I only see Chen ERD, Express-G, Martin ERD and ORM Diagram. I don't see Database Model Diagram template
Am I looking in the wrong place?
Mac OSX 10.4.10
ConceptDraw 7.1.0
Thanks for your reply
Colin

As with the other people who responded to this message, I see no "Database Model Diagram" template, only Chen ERD, Express-G, Extended ER Diagrams, Martin ERD, and ORM Diagram.
I am testing ConceptDraw to see if I can reverse engineer the database I administer. I would like CD to work, because I would get the network diagramming functions as well, but I cannot find any way to reverse engineer a database. Where is the function?
Mac OS X 10.5
ConceptDraw Pro 8.02 trial period
I, too, have tried to follow Julia K's advice above, but there is no "Database Model Diagram" template under "ERD & Database category," only Chen ERD, Express-G, Extended ER Diagrams, Martin ERD, and ORM Diagram.
OS X 10.5
ConceptDraw 8
I am in a hurry to evaluate ConceptDraw, but I require the ability to reverse engineer a database, and after going through the trouble of setting up ODBC in my Mac, I cannot find the command or button to do that in ConceptDraw.
