I'm using version 3.4 on WinXp. I obtained my copy from Giveaway of the Day (thank you!). I am learning Concept Project and will use the program to manage our installation projects. These are like small construction (building) projects.

One of our projects has an a delayed start date (from 12 July 2007 to 23 July 2007). I looked in the manual, and have changed the date in the "Project" page (View>Projects). It also changes in the "Project" floating dialog, but it does not change in the Gantt chart.

I have no Deadlines, and 2 Milestones. Removing the Milestones did not fix it.

Am I making a mistake?

I have some small screenshots to demonstrate the changes, but have not been able to add these as Attachments.

There is only one way to change it: highlight the task and change its start date.
Such feature that will change the whole project on entering its Start date will be in the next version.

There is one other way - you showed it in this forum earlier:

Create your Project as you need it. As last task you add a Milestone at the beginning of your project. Now link the Milestone to all task in your project. In the end secekt each task and hit + to enter the task predecessor window. Set the lad to the difference between the milestone and the starting date of the task.
Ones you did all this, you can move the hole project by moving the milestone to a new starting date!


I do have simelar seminars trough out the year with starting dates that change rapidly. If this will be implemented in the next version I will be happy. But for the time being this is a way to control your projects without a lot of work!
