Dear all,
You are welcome to download update for mac here:
http://conceptdraw.fileburst.com/Materia...aw.app.sit
unpack it and copy ConceptDraw.app to
Applications/CS Odessa/ConceptDraw 7 Professional
What's new:
1) Ability to open of 1.x. files;
2) Export to raster formats;
3) Fixed error with paths that contains unicode characters (Daryl ;))
4) improved copy&past to other applications
Julia, thanks for the quick update!
Some notes:
1) I opened a few ConceptDraw Pro 1.8.5 files with no problem! :)
2) I now have a File/Export/Graphic File... menu item which brings up an export dialog, but the Format combo box is empty (no items in it except for a blank line with a check mark...) and pressing "Next..." does nothing. Pressing "Cancel" cancels and closes the dialog as expected.
3) I can confirm that the Unicode path issue does appear to be fixed! Thanks! :)
4) Pasting into Word pastes a bitmapped TIFF image. Same for OmniGraffle. Pasting into Illustrator CS3 results in a box with the text "QuickTime and a TIFF (Uncompressed) decompressor are needed to see this picture" (really REALLY weird to see this on a Mac with the latest QuickTime installed, but that may be an Adobe issue). Ideally I'd like to see a new "Copy As" menu (like OmniGraffle Pro has) with sub-menu items allowing copying into the clipboard with several formats: PICT vector (for old "Carbon" Mac apps like Word), PDF (for new "Cocoa" Mac apps like OmniGraffle and Illustrator), EPS with Mac PICT preview, EPS with DOS TIFF preview, and TIFF.

Hi Daryl,
please specify where exactly did you install the application file? Was ConceptDraw 7 already installed on this machine?
I'm trying to remember correctly... I think the ConceptDraw installer installed into "/Applications/ConceptDraw 7 Professional". I moved that folder to "/Applications/- Third-Party/Graphics and Video/Graphics/ConceptDraw 7 Professional" (I always organize all my Mac applications like this) to organize it and all worked fine.
Then when the first minor update came out on 2007-05-28, I moved it to "/Applications/- Third-Party/Graphics and Video/Graphics/ConceptDraw 7 Pro 7.0-2007-05-28 ƒ/ConceptDraw 7 Professional" (I always name my application folders with their version numbers so I know if I need to install an update I see on MacUpdate.com or VersionTracker.com). This caused problems (the Template Gallery wasn't working) because of the Unicode character 'ƒ' and so once I discovered this I moved it back to its previous location.
With the 2007-03-31 build, I moved it into "/Applications/- Third-Party/Graphics and Video/Graphics/ConceptDraw 7 Pro 7.0-2007-05-31 ƒ/ConceptDraw 7 Professional". From this location, the Template Gallery worked fine, but this is when I noticed that the export feature was broken for me. I tried moving it back to "/Applications/- Third-Party/Graphics and Video/Graphics/ConceptDraw 7 Professional" and "/Applications/ConceptDraw 7 Professional", but the export feature still isn't working for me...
Please let me know if there is anything more I can tell you to help track down this problem.

Thank you, we are working on solving this trouble.
I installed this, and on its first run it put up a dialog about a missing ImageMagick library (I'm not 100% sure of this, as I expected to copy the exact wording down later). The File -> Export -> Graphic File menu item is disabled. Now, on subsequent runs, it puts up an EMPTY dialog that I need to click OK on before ConceptDraw opens (that ImageMagick library message is not displayed now, the dialog is blank).
EDIT: This error appears in my console.log file:
2007-06-07 16:38:25.679 ConceptDraw[8132] CFLog (21): Error loading /Library/Frameworks/ImageMagickService.framework/ImageMagickService: error code 4, error number 0 (Library not loaded: /Library/Frameworks/libiconv.framework/Versions/1.11/libiconv

Hi Daryl,
ConceptDraw installs special frameworks into system folder Library\Frameworks, this frameworks support special features of our
product, that is why they are necessary for the normal work of application.
ConceptDraw installs frameworks during installation of software. The link on forum points to the application file, not the full installation (there is no frameworks in it). For the normal work of application it should be copied to the folder where ConceptDraw was installed (it will work only at the same system)- e.g. if you have 2 discs - Macintosh HD and Macintosh HD2 and on both there are 2 different systems - application will work only on that system where it was installed. If you wish to use it on both systems you need to install ConceptDraw on both separately.
Julia, I am running ConceptDraw 7 Pro from the hard drive where I originally installed it.
I think the problem may be that this framework was updated to a new version with this latest ConceptDraw 7 Pro app update, but the .sit archive includes just the application and not the new version of the framework (assuming that a new version of the framework is indeed needed).

strange, ok, we just updated version again, link remains the same:
http://conceptdraw.fileburst.com/Materia...aw.app.sit
fixes:
1) problems with moving of connectors;
2) problems with redraw;
3) added "Escape" - pressing "Escape" button choose Select tool
