This is very odd and pretty annoying, and it’s the first time I've seen such behavior. Is anyone else seeing it?

I don't see anything of the kind, it behaves absolutely normal on my MacBook Pro 2.33

Julia, I appear to have a number of ConceptDraw-related preference files in my user Library/Preferences folder; some are probably from older versions (I have, and use, ConceptDraw Pro 1.8.5, ConceptDraw Pro 6, and ConceptDraw Pro 7): "com.cso.ConceptDraw.plist", "ConceptDraw Pro.plist", "ConceptDrawPro preferences", and "ConceptDrawPro.plist".

Which of these should be deleted?

You need to delete ConceptDraw Pro 7.plist file.

Is that one in the "~/Library/Preferences/CSOdessa/ConceptDraw/" folder?

I tried deleting all ConceptDraw preferences files in the main "~/Library/Preferences", but that made no difference so I restored them.

You need to delete preferences from the Library of current user.
